Brought this watch for Cross Country running. Perfect stopwatch system for it and it’s a really cheap watch that’s built to last years to come. Definitely sweat resistance and fits tight on your wrist so it doesn’t fall when you run.

Can’t beat the deal here. Watch works great w/all the features, ie. light up display, day of week, date, alarm, etc. @ an amazing price!

It’s a well-built and well-designed classic, but it does have its issues. If you want a better backlight, add a few dollars and get one of the beefier models. The light that comes on this is stuck into the very corner and does not evenly illuminate the whole watch face. Additionally, the hourly chime can only go off at the hour mark, you cannot change at what minute it goes off, which is a feature I miss. You can just adjust the clock forward if you really need fine hourly chime adjustment.

I used this type Casino watch in the 80’s and it’s still a very reliable inexpensive option today. Works great. Gives the exact same time as my $600 Applewatch.

Cheap, rugged, accurate, 10 year battery life, and 100m water resistance; what’s not to like? I collect inexpensive (mostly Chinese built) watches, but all previous ones have had my preferred analog displays and few of them could begin to match the performance specs of this watch. I treat them kindly, keep them away from water, and change their batteries every 1-2 years. Be sure to ask for a discount at your battery replacement place. I take in a dozen or so watches at a time and get the batteries replaced for half their normal charge. Enter the Casio Men’s W800H-1AV. Fifteen bucks or so, accurate (I set it from and check it against my Casio Wave Ceptor), 100m water resistant, and 10 year battery life! With those kind of specs, who needs solar or Atomic Clock updates? I understand why it has such a long strap, but I found it a bit irritating. A few seconds with a sharp knife cut it down to a length that doesn’t wrap around my wrist and flop out on the other side. But remember: “measure twice; cut once!”

A great inexpensive watch for when I’m feeling nostalgic and want something that works well and is more low keyed than my other watches. I love that day of week, date (including year!), and time with seconds are always visible. Light is functional but not that bright, not like the bright green in the photos. I also like the ability to have a soft hourly chime (a quick beep); it’s something I remember from my old led watches but I find it does keep me aware of the passing of time. Very pleased with the purchase, even separate from the low price. And definitely seems higher quality than some of the cheap off- brand ones I’ve seen at bargain stores.

my last one went through hell and is actually still working it just looks awful after burning and welding with it on and turning wrenches , crawling through mud and sand on jobsites . Jet skiing , and four puppies trying to eat it it was time to retire it

This is my second watch of this model, the first one the bank broke (as every Casio band breaks) and it was only 2 dollars more to buy a new watch than it was a new bank. Now I have 2 watches that work and one of these days I will find a cheap band to fix the old one.

As a daily watch, this hasn’t been beat for the past 2.5 years. Waterproof for everything that I have put it through thus far. I switched the rubber strap for a nato, and I almost forget that it is on my wrist. Hope it lasts the next 8 years like the battery life says.

I bought this for myself but the watch face is so small on my large wrist it looks weird. I gave the watch to my 9 year old son and it looks normal on him.
