The Copper Creek BK2090AB Ball Door Knob is a Real Faux Antique Brass door knob that has been made with solid cast brass. It is the perfect choice for any front entry of your home and it is guaranteed to bring in an old world charm. This knob has a dummy function and comes with 1 pack. The best way to answer this question is to take a look at how door knobs are made. They are made of two pieces, a cabinet (or pull) plate which hangs on the inside surface of the door frame, held in place by screws or nails, and a cylinder which is then screwed into the top of the cabinet plate. The cylinder has rings that slide over one another when you turn it manually or with your fingers to operate an electric motor which powers either a lock mechanism or sounder.
