Algae are a nuisance in many of our homes and landscapes, causing unsightly stains as well as potential health risks. In order to solve this problem, we offer the EasyCare FounTec Algaecide and Clarifier, which can eliminate algae problems.
This bacteria-based product uses iron oxide particles to kill algae while at the same time reducing the need for water changes. This makes it an excellent choice for aquariums with live plants or those that contain corals and other delicate livestock.
In addition to its use in aquariums and ponds, the EasyCare Founta-Algaecide and Clarifier is also a great product to use in any type of saltwater aquarium. This includes marine aquariums, freshwater aquariums and other situations where algae blooms are a problem.
EasyCare Founta-Algae Treatment is a freshwater algaecide for removing algae algae from both surface water & substrates as well as for use as a clarifier of existing substrate algal blooms.
EasyCare Founta-Algae Treatment quickly kills algae on all aquarium surfaces. This product also helps to remove existing or new algal blooms that have formed on aquarium wall surfaces, glass, rocks and gravel, plants and other solid surfaces.
EasyCare Founta-Algae Treatment will not harm or affect fish or aquatic life in any way. It will not interfere with the biological filter or remove oxygen from the water. EasyCare Founta-Algae Treatment will also not cause any changes in pH levels.

I really like how this works to keep the water basically clear in my porch fountain. I get a lot of birds bathing in it and this helps to mitigate any cloudiness. I have bought before and will buy again.

We have a large, 2 tier fountain, which my husband has always been in charge of. But every time I looked, the water was green, soupy and disgusting. (To be fair, my husband is very busy and I guess the fountain was easy to overlook.) His maintenance program was about once a month to bail out all the old green gross water and refill the fountain with fresh water and it would look good…..for about a week. Then resume the cycle of a mess someone needed to clean.Finally one day I couldn’t take it anymore (not to mention it was a total mosquito problem) so I made it my project. I gave it a thorough cleaning and got the water looking clear & beautiful again. After investing that much effort, I certainly wanted to keep it that way… I knew there had to be a better way to keep the fountain clear.I then found this product.Happy to report the fountain looks beautiful for the last month or so, and all I do is go out once a week and add about three drops of this to keep it clean and clear. Our weather is very hot, so algae grows quick, but not with this! As I said, it’s a large fountain and it only takes two or three drops of this stuff to keep it continually looking great. No more bailing out old green water and feeling embarrassed when we have company over and I realize the fountain looks like pea soup lol!

I have a large clear plastic bin filled with water that my Louisianna iris live in, and it is a pain to dump and clean it as the water regularly turns green. I was also using mosquito dunks. Now I have 2 small fish tank aerators and this product and no more green and no mosquitos. Although my dog has never drunk this water, I like that the chemical is safe.

This has been such a huge help in keeping our birdbath and fountain algae free! I add a few drops two times a week and the water has stayed clean. I used to have to clean the thick slimy algae off often and now I don’t!

I was having a problem with algae developing in my outdoor fountain which clogged up the pump and discolored the water. I emptied the fountain and filled it with clean water, then added about 20 drops of this solution. It has remained clear ever since. I follow up once a week and add 10-20 drops.

This stuff works!! I have 2 fountains, a concrete bird bath & 2 small bird bath on top of porch railing. I live in a very hot & humid area & Before this stuff, they’d always get mildewy. This stuff just takes a few drops & keeps it from happening. If it already has a little bit of mildew in it, just follow the directions & add a few more drops & it clears it right up!!!! I absolutely LOVE this stuff!

Super easy to use! My little fountain has been struggling with already since a “helpful” little boy decided he wanted to wash his spade in it while we were moving plants last year.We sceubbed the whole thing out to soap and water at the end of the season, stored it dry in the garage and brought it out thos year to go again. The water tinted green right away and I couldn’t get it to clear back up until about 10 drops of this product and a couple days time.Highly recommend it.Now I just need to keep using a few drops every week to maintain it being clear. Someday I hope to have time to scrub the basins again, but that will probably have to wait until the end of season once more

This product is awesome. I have a cement birdbath and I was always cleaning the algae from it every other day. I bought this stuff and the water stays clear longer and I don’t have to clean it out every other day. And if there is algae when I change the water I just add a couple of drops and it’s clear. This stuff is a life saver and I’m so glad I purchased it. You won’t be disappointed.

This is the best and low cost because it lasts a long time. I bought a 64 oz jug and used for the last 4 years and still have some left to use this year. I have a rock waterfall with a 290 gallon tank. No pond or fish. Pump water 24 hours a day. I have fresh water, replacing the water lost to the condensation, from my sprinkler system every time my sprinklers run to water the grass. I have a designated water cycle just for the tank. When green algae start’s forming on the rocks, I put Fountec where waterfall runs back into the tank and green is gone within days. I do not have to clean the rocks or put a lot of time in keeping this up and it is the talk of the neighborhood. Couldn’t be happier with how this product works to clarify the water and kill the algae.
