Description
Many kids don’t know about basics of writing. There are plenty of complex grammar rules, but not many know how to start a sentence, or that sentences have subjects and verbs. Kids in the digital age, on the other hand, have access to all sorts of learning websites and apps at their fingertips. And recently I discovered one such website that has been an excellent supplement for my teaching strategy called “My First Learn-to-Write Workbook” by (SPC) System and Open Vocabulary Foundation.

Just a few of the many exercises that will help kids build core skills:
Trace each letter. Start at the 1 and follow the numbers in order. Pay attention to the arrows.
Trace each shape. Take your time.
Help the animals get to their homes! Show them the way by drawing the paths in between the lines.

Bought this for our 5 year old to get a head start this school year in kindergarten. He loves it. He calls it his “homework”. It’s a great practice for tracing letters to shapes!

I was on a search for a workbook with numbers, letters and shapes and came across this one. Its perfect for what I wanted for my son!It is a one time use book so to make it multiple use I ordered sheet protectors and a binder (also from Amazon) I carefully tore each page out and inserted them into a sheet protector and into the binder. It’s been the coolest thing ever! Expo markers work just great and when you’re little one is done with a lesson just wipe it down and it can be used again.I used to front cover of the workbook to put in front of his binder and just customized it a bit for some fun, my son loves it and loves he has his first “school binder” 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE ! I’m a first time mom, and I have a 2 year old who is very intelligent for her age, so we got this a month ago and she has done so much more then just learn to read, and somewhat write lol, it’s helping her out her words together and we are learning to spell her name letter by letter & she now knows her ABC and 123.. she just turned 2 in May ! And honestly I just copied the pages on my printer so I can keep the book for my next kid 100% !!! I’m so glad I got this book !!!

It’s good to teach toddlers to write their letters. It’s been good to teach him dexterity with his hands.
