    Use this lock to make me feel safe in my apartment building where the people are quite rowdy. Easy to install, and trust me no one is getting in the house with this lock on! Keep the second one and use them for hotel rooms please, you won’t be sorry.

    I have used them on my apartment door a few times. Easy to use. And if you pull the door from your side, you can tell it would take a lot of force to break so I feel extra safe. I will be taking them on an upcoming trip which makes me feel much safer.

    It is fairly easy to use once you figure it out. I practiced in the day light maybe once or twice and then I was able to quickly fasten it in the night time when I wanted that extra safety measure. This lock really gave me peace of mind when staying alone and that’s more than I could ask for. Plus even if you do not dead bolt or lock the door, the door will not budge with just having this lock in place. It’s a tiny tool and the airlines let you travel with it in your carry on to use at hotels, etc. The wider rectangular side is for hotels and smaller side is for residential.Ex of Residential: you simply open the door, twist the door knob in, line up the residential side to the door and then shut the door releasing the door knob as normal. Then you take the red or black plastic part (whichever you are using, they are the same) and you put the metal circular part in the circle slot on the piece in the door. You will see two, choose the one that is closest to the door/furthest from you, and slide it down. And you’re done. You just reverse it to undo it.Highly recommend this tool.

    These were an unexpected surprise! I was looking on Amazon for the pole that wedges against the doorknob, as I didn’t want anything permanent installed. My elderly Dad has a key to my apartment and has gotten into the bad habit of coming in without knocking. This was tricky to use the first time but easy after a few uses. Keeps the door locked tight!
