Description
There are also a few companies that manufacture felt furniture pads. These pads come in sets or individually for different pieces of furniture. They can be a lower cost alternative to other types of padding because they do not need any kind of adhesive. The construction and materials used are designed so that the pad stays firmly in place, even when the furniture is moved or rearranged.
Designs
There are a number of designs available with these products, including shapes and colors that mimic quilts or couches, as well as neutral colors to blend with most upholstery. In addition to this, there are styles which have pre-cut shapes for sitting on chairs and sofas while watching television or reading. With the variety of style options available, felt furniture pads can be a decorative and useful way to protect and complement existing upholstery.
Precautions
Some people have reported problems with adhesive residues or rip offs when using these pads. However, many of these problems can be solved by following the instructions carefully. To avoid residue or pad damage, use only the recommended amount of adhesive to secure the felt furniture pads. This usually means a small line of adhesive in each corner of the pad. Also make sure that you are using an appropriate adhesive for both your furniture materials and felt furniture pads (adhesives made specifically to hold fabrics together tend to do best).
Usage
Felt furniture pads are intended to be used with upholstery materials, which are generally less absorbent than cloth. The padding should be applied over a sturdy base layer of canvas. When the pad is placed on a chair or sofa, you should place it so that the edges extend beyond the edges of where you want it to sit. To create longevity in applications, place felt furniture pads in areas that get a lot of foot traffic such as hallways and entrances to apartments. If you have either area covered with felt furniture pads, it will help protect against damage from everyday wear and tear of the upholstery.

A MUST for hardwood or LVP. These are really nice, thick pads that do the job – they stick to the furniture legs and protect from sratching – without the wild price tag furniture stores sell them for. There is such a wide variety of sizes in this pack, I can’t imagine they wouldn’t protect your floors from every piece of furniture you have.
