Took our 7 lb Maltese with us on a river canoe trip. The waters were calm, so we felt it would be safe but put the life vest on him because you never know. A storm came through about the time we hit a spot where a tree had fallen over some rocks around a curve forcing the water through a narrow passage. It all happened so fast and we hit the tree and took a tumble. My main concern once I was able to get my head above water was to grab my dog. I could see him floating, but he was out of reach. Fortunately there were people on the banks helping folks like us and someone was able to grab the handle at the top of the life vest and pull him out. I’m convinced this life vest saved him from getting swept downstream. Thank you for a well thought out quality product!

We just wanted an easy to put on, first timer life jacket for our Hattie Mae. She wasn’t too keen on it at first but it fit her just right and in all the right places, and the handle was an added bonus for us to keep hold of her while near the water if needed. Definitely recommend for the occasional or seasonal swimmer.

We just rescued a new dog so we bought him a life jacket just like his sister’s. We purchased this life jacket for our other about a year ago. Our dogs enjoy kayaking with us but we want them to be safe, and we need to be able to pull them back into the kayaks on the rare occasion they go overboard. The handle on the back is sturdy and the Velcro closure coupled with the straps makes it easy to pull our 50+ pound dogs back into the boat. Liked our first one so much we purchased the same one in a different color for our new pup. Took him on his first adventure this weekend and he loved it!

My Aussie puppy was very comfortable in this jacket. The neck piece is just a tad bulky. It’s very secure and the handle holds water weight very well. Its is also very easy to adjust the size. I had no worries on losing him with the bright color green.

Got this for my 80lb golden retriever, he measured an XL. And it fits him well everywhere except for his chest where I have the Velcro strap all the way tight on his chest. For this reason I would size down if I buy one again. He’s a really strong swimmer but I got this for when we go paddle boarding so I can use the handle to haul him back on the board
