Description

Edd, Edd n Eddy is an American animated comedy television series created by Danny Antonucci for Cartoon Network. The show revolves around three preteen boys: Ed (Edward “Edd”/Jeremy), Edd (Edgar “Edd”/Kevin), and their younger brother, Jimmy. They all live in a suburban cul-de-sac known as cul de sac in the fictional town of Peach Creek.

The show is loosely based on the comic strip Danny’s Day, created by Antonucci in 1987 and still published today by Antonucci’s company Antarctic Press. The series was formerly shown on Cartoon Network for 95 episodes from June 7, 1999 to August 21, 2007. Reruns can still be seen in the US on Cartoon Network’s late night programming block, Adult Swim, and on Teletoon in Canada. The show was praised for its surrealistic approach to the comedic style and humor of its characters and won two Primetime Emmy Awards in 2004 and 2005.

In 2007, Ed, Edd n Eddy became one of Cartoon Network’s highest rated shows and gained popularity among fans and critics as well. “Eddy” was also ranked 65th in the July 2005 UK Channel 4’s 100 Greatest Kids’ TV Shows list.

Edd is a clumsy and immature dimwit who lives in a suburban cul-de-sac with his boisterous little brother Jimmy, who is surprisingly more outgoing than the rest of his gang of friends, each one representing a different elemental (fire Nazz, air Donnie, water Slater, earth Belson).
