Brought for a friend….he absolutely loved these shoes. He said they are extremely comfortable, after hours of wearing them at work he don’t complain about foot pain. His foot swell at times so I got these in a wide. In his words these are the best shoes.

Great shoe, definitely durable. I have had New Balance before, but not in the last couple of years. I never ordered shoes online until this pair. 608 V5 were a perfect fit. I just looked at my old shoes that were not NB and ordered that size. I generally take days of research and hours in the store to pick a pair that I think will work for me. Not a cheap shoe, not too expensive either, but 100% worth the extra you will pay for 2 pair of cheaps that fall apart in a few weeks or a month. The leather uppers didn’t crinkle, like the cheap vinyl ones do. Clean up real nice. The sides take hot concrete well. I walk .9 to and from work every day. This shoe keeps me walking and it doesn’t feel like my ankles have been crushed. I work retail so in addition to walking to/from work I’m on concrete all day. Sometimes I’m in the cooler/dairy, sometimes I’m outside bringing carts in. I could be anywhere on any given day and my feet need to keep up. This shoe can absorb the shots. Looks good, feels good. I got the white w/navy N. Will buy white w/black N next. I might not ever trust another shoe to perform like this one has so far.

I wear a size 12.5 wide which is very difficult to find especially in New Balance. NB is, IMHO, still the most comfortable shoes that fit right out of the box, that are on the market today. I have tried and worn many different brands of shoes and none have come close to fitting like these. Before I found how well NB fit I would try on shoes in stores and all seems well but upon getting home and wearing them a month or two, I usually end up having to donate them. Now I can order online just about any style of NB and know I’ll get the shoes that fit and look good. It’s nice buying shoes that I only have to replace because of wear and tear!

I have wide feet, and some shoes can end up squeezing my toes. These are extremely comfortable, with plenty of room for long-term wear. I am a coach, and often on my feet for 5-7 hours per day. I never have to worry about how my feet will feel – they are great. Highly recommend.

These shoes changed my boyfriends life! He cares for these shoes like a newborn baby. He goes into dad mode 4.0 when wearing them. Dad jokes are at an all time high, protective dad becomes heightened, BBQ time is frequent even though he doesn’t know how to BBQ. He also thinks these shows are date night shoes. I love that he likes them but also regret the purchase lol (not really) . He enjoys them and loves how they make him feel.

For my line of work being on my feet all day as a delivery driver these shoes are the best for comfort and support. The plus side is they are solid black and the leather can be polished which is required for my dress code. These are a much better alterative than the other black work shoes out on the market. Comfort is a must in my line of work.

Was gonna shell out hundreds on shoes as a gift for dad.. who suffers minute by minute with painful neuropathy in his aging feet. Then i rememberd a kinesthetic chiro i knew who was all about newbalances.. these are not only good lookin with stylin options, instead of the (‘ol 1800’s black cobblers which just by looking at them make me feel self conscious), but are designed explicitly to be ultra affordable and high scoring for foot issues, above even $300+ varnished slabs.Dad cant stop appreciating how much better his feet feel, and all that goes with that.If you know, you know.

I’ve been importing the NB 608 for years. Here in Egypt shoe stores don’t offer wide and extra wide variants in any brand, I tried these years ago and since then I don’t feel the need to try any other. All shoes have a short life span if you use them extensively, and my case one pair lasts about a year in good condition until it starts to age poorly and falls apart. To me that’s normal for this price range, I just keep buying new ones. The weakest area on this model is the mesh part on the sides near my bunions, the stitching seems to fall apart quick, then the mesh starts tearing. The cutout seems to help with flexibility and comfort, but I hope they either ditch it or use a sturdier type of mesh in future upgrades. I also believe that using a damp cloth to clean it up speeds up the wear of the leather. All in all… I enjoyed v4 and I’m enjoying v5 maybe even more with the flatter midsole. Look for discounts throughout the year and stock up on these babies, they’re comfortable, stylish and the extra width is definitely its best feature New Balance offers.

I am handicapped and have a wide foot. I get special medical wraps on my feet/legs that are changed anywhere from 1 to 3 times a week. There are anywhere from 4 to 5 wraps around the foot/leg making it near impossible to get a shoe on. I usually wear a large. Because of the wraps, I ordered an XL size and when I put them on for the first time, I loosen the laces. get the shoe on my foot. Then I tie them loosely. Now I can use them as a slip-on that hugs and holds my foot in place with no issues.®Buckwheat – Nothing is impossible. Some things just require a bit of extra thought.

The New Balance 608 Cross Trainer is my favorite tennis shoe. It is the only shoe that fits me perfect and feels comfortable. New Balance keeps tinkering and changing the version, but they have all been good. Only problem is finding my size. The soles do tend to come unglued over time, but Shoe Goo will fix. Still a great shoe for the price.
