  1. Regine De Guzman

This smart door lock has so many great features! It was relatively easy to install. I bought it with the gateway and it’s been working really good.2 gripes:- If you have sweaty fingers the fingerprint reader won’t detect your fingerprint well.- If you ever need to use the backup physical keys they provide, removing the compartment to insert the key is really difficult without some kinda flat tool to open it..Other than that, the battery lasts long. The ability to provide temporary passcodes has helped with contractors coming into your house while you’re not there. And I love the fact I don’t have to carry keys to get into my house!I’ve had this door lock for over a year and it’s worked great. Customer service was also very helpful and responsive.

  2. Bob Hill

We purchased this lock for our fire station due to it being all volunteer and just like every other volunteer organization you have people come and go. We were looking for a quick option to enable us to delete users when people leave instead of paying a lock smith to come out and change the locks or having to change the door code every month. The lock has held up to the constant in and out of our fire fighters as well as the vendor we use to work on our fire trucks.

  3. Kaylee

Installing and programming was pretty easy and straightforward. It looks great and the thumbprint reader works really well. The auto lock feature is also great in a house with forgetful family members. Love being able to be a crazy person and check if my door is locked from anywhere. Lots of great features in the app that I’ll probably be using in the future too. Overall, great lock-meets the needs of my household and looks sleek while doing it.

  4. Amazon Customer

Like another reviewer said… I too initially tried a different brand of keyless lock where most tries using my fingerprint were unsuccessful. Maybe one out of five times it would work before it would lock the whole system out for couple of minutes. Not here though!!!This SIFELY Brand Smart Lock, works beautifully! Sure, if I don’t get my finger quite lined up perfectly on the first try it might not work on an occasion, but it always unlocks the door on the second try. Having dependable fingerprint access was the number one selling point of this product for us.For those that want to use the numerical keypad or key or smart tokens… It works beautifully there too. Even my 4.5 year old granddaughter knows how to input the passcode…. In pride by the way.Anyway, we love the product so much that we bought one for my mother-in-law’s house. So if you too want a keyless door lock with extremely dependable fingerprint access, start here and buy the SIFELY Smart Lock.

  5. wanting to help

This Sifely Entry Handle Lock replaced a WeLock knob also purchased on Amazon. The Sifely product, App, and Gateway are superior to what WeLock offered. I tried the WeLock product and it was inferior to the point of returning it. The App is simple, it works well, you can do a fingerprint ID to log in, it’s quick and user friendly. The handle is sturdy and exceptionally designed and built. There are multiple programmable functions when paired with the Gateway, which I recommend. We set ours, it’s a metal courtyard entry gate, to lock every evening at 8:00 pm. Each morning we unlock it with our phones when we wake up. It will remain unlocked during the day, as we have set it that way for deliveries, mail etc., again each night it auto locks due to how we’ve programmed it. My wife and I share one account, I had to invite her, and we can both be logged on at the same time and view or use the app. So far we are very pleased with this product and highly recommend it. It’s been working beautifully.

I’ve purchased a few Sifely doorknob and deadbolt systems, actually 3 of each. These systems are easy to install and program via the app.The installation instructions are easily to understand and follow, which will make the novice person comfortable doing the installation themselves. One of the features I must appreciate is the ability to set up a temporary key card and/or code. Plus, the app shows who entered, when, and how.The support team from Sifely does their best to assist you with and questions or concerns. I did have to utilize them once when the kit I received was missing the mounting screws. And within 2 days, I received the screws in my mailbox. The locks and customer service will exceed all of your expectations, just like it did for me.

I’ve been using this lock now for a couple week in my Air BNB, and have cycled through half a dozen guests. So far everything has functioned perfectly, and no guests have had a problem. Each guest gets their own code before they arrive, and it gets deleted when they leave, during the cleaning. We have several backup codes generated just incase there is an issue, and my wife and I have fingerprints logged, for easy access during turnover and they work every time.Easy to install: Wile we did remove the Quickset that was in the door originally, and that required a small amount of chiseling of the door holes, it was easy to mount, once everything was aligned properly. If you aren’t handy, the instructions will probably be just fine for you. Expect to possibly need to alter the hole size slightly. I am purchasing another dozen + locks for the other apartments and AirBnBs, and will be installing them all myself in a variety of doors/styles. I’ll try to update once that’s done.Overall, for $109/lock it seems well worth it. I did note, that they have just added $20 to that price, so I wasn’t happy. I have also not used Google Home, or a Gateway with the locks yet, but I do plan to on a couple units, just to see.

  8. B. Glinkerman

Lock is well built and easy to install. We got this to put on our home gym door in order to keep the kids out so they don’t hurt themselves. Love the fact that it auto-locks when we close the door. App setup is very easy and there are many ways to authenticate (fob, key, finger, pin, etc). We occasionally get a failed fingerprint scan but they are pretty infrequent and a second attempt always works. Since we have installed this lock we have bought another one and have another door in mind for a third one. Great product, highly recommend.

For reference I had Lowe’s Iris before it folded, I now have Samsung Smart-things and Amazon Alexa. My house is pretty smart. I’ve got devices galore from lots of different generations and brands. I have the Schlage Connected Smart Keypad Z-Wave Lever. I’m pretty used to the various challenges of working with equipment like this.In all of my time doing stuff like this I have never found a single item that made me say yes like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally, until now.The order. I generally lean towards sold and fulfilled by Amazon, but the steep review curve for 5 stars and the acceptable window of 3 to 5 days even though I was ordering in the wee hours of a Sunday morning was acceptable, if it was as good as people said. I got it in 2 days after the first day a person could have seen it. I have no gripes there. Amazon level of delivery and that really is the gold standard today. yes…The package. It arrived and the first thing I noticed was that it was HEAVY. Like, is this shrink wrapped bricks? Is it a slab of lead, DU? A brief shake indicated that there was only the tiniest of jingles inside it. Now I was intrigued. I opened the package which was designed and implemented like it held high end scientific devices with everything in its own perfectly sized recessed pocket in the high density closed cell foam. Nested packages were as individualized as made sense. Screws separated by stage of install and door configuration. Stick on protection for any surface of the parts that you wouldn’t want scratched. Physically, the shipment, the packaging, and all of the pieces were perfect.Yes…The install. It was much easier than the Schlage. Hard to read instructions, NOPE, super easy to follow video with shots done from angles that make sense for that stage. They even include a QR code if you don’t feel like typing the supplied URL. It was so easy and smooth that I really can’t say anything about it. If you have a Phillips head screwdriver and thumbs you can do this. Heck, you may even be able to do it without thumbs. Test it once it’s installed and you’re done.YES…Setup. Now I thought, the real nightmare probably begins. For comparison, with the Schlage, to program anything you really need the home automation side. With Lowe’s Iris it was bearable but usually if I wanted to push changes to it I had to demount it and walk it over closer to the hub. It frequently required multiple attempts and sometimes ended up in a worse configuration as it wiped ones I wanted to keep and didn’t load ones I did. Smart-things is even worse. Third party IDEs to interface and cobbled together rats nests of code. I use this part to do this, but that part to do that, this one only runs in Classic, that one runs in the new version unless you want to do this other thing then you have to run in classic… That’s not the case here. Download one easy to find App from the app store. It’s the only one and it’s obvious. Again there’s a video along with another QR code to get to it. I must confess that I didn’t watch it. I opened the App. Login or Register? I guess register. Yup. Phone number, uh huh. SMS code came in, yup. Touch the knob to put it in pairing mode, ok. Oh it’s paired and done and I’m in? That’s pretty straight forward.Ohhhh…Configuration. Let’s see what we’ve got here. Plainly legible and easily navigable? Pleasantly surprising, clean and clear. I’m tingly. Ok, I see pass codes lets check that out. Standard 3 dot drop down menu add, clear, etc. Add. Permanent. Wow that was crazy intuitive. Finger prints? I could go on, but seriously coming from other systems I can say that it is literally the most clean and intuitive FUNCTIONAL UI I have ever worked with. EVERYTHING is where and how you would think it should be. Everything that can be done with it is simple to implement with explanations available where you might need it, voice prompts, etc…YES YES YES YES!!!!In short, I love it. If you are looking to smarten up your entry control at a good price with no hassle, then you should have what he’s having, Sifely.

  10. Michael D. Perry

First smart lock, we purchased this for a vacation home that we visit infrequently but loan out to friends and family. The process of getting physical keys to folks was painful and concerning so we started looking for a smart lock. I was constrained on size as the door lock needed to be narrow for installation purposes – many of the other popular smart locks are too wide to fit for our application so make sure you know what dimensions you are working with. Installation was very straight forward and the video that they link to in the instruction manual was really the only thing I needed. Total install time was 15 min and it worked right away – lining up and screwing together the two halves of the door lock was a little tricky but if you use a flashlight you can line up the door lock with the mounting plate. Several of the other locks we looked at require that you drill a hole in the door for the wire to pass through, this lock does not require that – all wiring passes through the one opening. Was really impressed with the install process. The app is very powerful, you have lots of options in setting up passcodes – key fobs – fingerprints, etc. Everything we wanted in a smart lock – it’s not the prettiest app but it’s very powerful and connected first time for us. Take your time and read the manual for the app if you are looking to do things like share the admin account, but it’s all outlined and straight forward. We really liked this smart lock and I’ll be buying more for our main house and recommending this one to friends as well.
