We bought this because many reviewers stated it was easy to install and because it boils water in a hurry. It was very easy to install. We took out the old one and just dropped this one in and connected the wires. We have used it for about a month but my wife loves it. It is easy to clean.

I am very happy with this cooktop. The totally flat surface with easily removable knobs makes it easy to clean. I am not great at keeping spills off it while cooking, and often have 3 or 4 burners going at once, so using a razor scraper on the burned on mess is important and works just fine. Then polish with your choice of ceran top cleaner. This item comes with a sample.I selected this product to replace another brand I bought last year from Amazon and decided not to install when I discovered it had Bern wired with wiring that was not big enough aug to even run it safely let alone connect to my 6 aug panel feed. Amazon eventually credited me after pushing hard and escalating due to the safety and fire hazard even tho I had the cooktop for months before trying to install it and seeing the problem. It was an off brand from china, and yes this Frigidaire is assembled in China too. But comparing the overall quality between the two is like night and day. This unit just feels more substantial and durable. The wiring is perfectly suitable for most American houses and the instruction manual actually makes sense.As for performance, wow. I had LP gas for many years and havebt used electric for a long time. I was not looking forwsrd to the slow responsiveness compared to gas, but this aspect has come a LONG way. The burners are precisely temped and respond quickly to input changes. The rapid boil/ hi on the bottom right high input burner is FAST. I tested cooking bacon on high and no joke, 2 or 3 minutes and done.So happy with my cooktop.

Just installed this and very happy with it. $200 cheaper than the GE which I cracked and had to replace. It’s also better in every respect. Heats evenly, cleans easily and was simple to install although the wiring looked like aluminum and I prefer copper. The GE was aluminum too so not sure it matters. So far five stars!!

I bought this cook top back in January. One of the reasons I bought it was because it’s a Frigidaire. I love the cook top, but one of the burners stopped working after only a couple months. When I started looking for a number to call for help, I ran into some hurdles trying to get some help. I also saw that others had been unable to find a contact # for service. When I found myself with no way to contact customer support, I posted my review about my disappointment. Shortly after, I was contacted by Frigidaire customer support. They called a local repair shop so I could get my cook top fixed. Unfortunately, the repair shop wasn’t extremely helpful. They knew I needed a replacement element, but they didn’t try very hard to get one. They told me it was ordered, then told me it was in and they would be out to install it. They didn’t show up, then told me they didn’t have the part and couldn’t get it in. I contacted Frigidaire again and told them what was going on. They ordered the element for me. I had it in 2 days. I am happy to say that my burner is working now!The service provided was excellent. I didn’t have to answer a lot of questions, and wasn’t hassled in any way. They responded very quickly to all of my correspondence and took action immediately. I will never hesitate to buy this brand in the future. I am very happy.

This was the perfect direct replacement for our 11-year old damaged cooktop. It looks cleaner and more sleek and it also gets hotter much faster. Delivery took less than 48 hours. The install took me about 15-20 minutes max and required very little effort/skill. The directions were simple and the wiring was just 3 wires (hot/neutral/ground) that needed to be connected in the junction box behind the cabinet. It’s definitely a nice little upgrade in the kitchen. Electrolux is the manufacturer of this Frigidaire cooktop and our original Kenmore Elite appliances so the styling matches perfectly and we’ve been happy with the products so far. Hopefully we won’t make the same dumb mistake and damage this one accidentally!
