Affordability, great product, I am not a beginner, so it’s easier for me to use. For beginner, read the instructions throughout, don’t be in a hurry. Highly reccomend.

Overall great product in its price range; would recommend. I am a first timer. I made this purchase based on the reviews of the good folks here – your tips were very helpful. Thank you! I would describe the set up as very simple. Here is a detailed rundown of the steps I took to setup & use my cameras based on the instruction pamphlet in the box: Download/opened iPhone app (mine is YI IoT). Plugged camera bulb into table lamp, placed lamp near my router and switched on. Bulb made a short buzzing sound and then beeped. In iPhone app, clicked next at prompt. A QR code appeared. As prompted, turned iPhone so QR code was facing bulb camera. After 25 sec or so, a voice guide stated my connection was successful. Switched off lamp, removed camera bulb and screwed into outdoor socket where it will now live. I turned on the switch to the outdoor socket. Within a few seconds the bulb camera showed up in the iPhone app. I assigned a name. I repeated these same steps for my 2nd bulb. PROS: picture quality is good (I could clearly see shirt/pants color on a man walking down the opposite side of my street). Mic/speaker good (I could hear my dog barking and breeze blowing outside when I turned the speaker on). I have not yet used the night vision feature. Motion detection is good (a car drove by and the camera activated and then rotated to follow it down the street). Sensitivity can be set. High setting is very sensitive; I received alerts when the wind blew because it was sensing motion from the movement of the tree’s leaves. CONS: the angle is not as wide as I would like, however, with the pan/zoom and motion detection, it is workable. Another biggie is that the camera, once activated, takes 6 sec video and then goes into a resting state which best I can tell is 3 to 4 minutes. I performed the following test: I pulled in my driveway, gathered my things, walked to my mailbox, stopped back at the car to lock the door and proceeded past the camera into the house. When I checked my notifications, the camera showed my sitting in my car with no activity afterward. This is because the 6 seconds started when my car came into frame on the street, and ended once in the driveway). From what I read recordings can be continuous with the paid cloud coverage. I’m not sure about the SD cards, and am researching that now. TIP: If your socket is right against your wall like mine, you may have to try these steps. I screwed in the camera bulb, and the camera was directly facing the wall. When I did a pan/zoom, it would rotate right back to this position. From the iPhone app, click on the camera. Within that camera, click Settings. Slide Motion Detection and Rotate Reset to off. Use up/down/right/left controls to focus the camera where you want its “resting position” to be. Slide Motion Detection and Rotate Reset back to On position. I’ve had over 60 motion detection alerts and the position I set is still holding.
