Description

Michael Jackson was a well-known American singer, dancer, and actor. He was often considered “The King of Pop” or the “King of Music”. In the year 1958, Michael Jackson released his first single called “Why Do Fools Fall in Love”.

Michael followed this up with a few other singles (e.g. The Girl is Mine) and then released his first album called “Michael Jackson” in the year 1962. Michael went on to release around 20 studio albums during his lifetime which included Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), HIStory: Past, Present and Future-Book 1 (1995), HIStory: Past, Present and Future-Book 2(1996). In addition to this, he released 7 Number One singles from the 8 singles that went on to top the “Billboard chart”. Michael Jackson was a true star in the music industry and he was loved by many.

Michael Jackson – Thriller –  Outro (Time)

Amongst all of these studio albums, it is Thriller that stands out as Michael Jackson’s biggest-selling album. It sold more than 65 million copies and stayed at number one on the Billboard chart for 37 weeks. It has been certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America. In addition to this, it was the best-selling album of all time until it was replaced by “Thriller”. It also won 5 Grammy awards, 2 American Music Awards, 6 Brit Awards, and 3 World Music Awards.

Michael Jackson – Thriller –  Outro (Theme)

The song which has been chosen to end this episode is “Black or White” from Michael Jackson’s album “Thriller”. I have chosen this song because it features a dynamic and memorable bass line throughout the song. Another reason why this song has been chosen for this episode is that it contains some of Michael Jackson’s most popular hits along with a catchy beat and a spiritual message.
